XR Therapeutics provide health professionals with the technology to effectively deliver therapeutic interventions among individuals with various situation-specific anxieties. XRT combine traditional CBT exposure therapies with a wide range of virtual reality environments. The therapies have been extensively tried and tested for nearly a decade and are used by NHS practitioners.

We’re looking for a highly experienced Unity Developer to join our development team to produce a range of realistic 3d scenario based treatment scenes deployed to a range of platforms from large screen TV’s to PC’s, Mac’s, tablets and VR headsets.

Overview

The Unity Developer will be integral to the development and delivery of our products and services for the health sector in the UK and globally. A Unity specialist with 10-15 years commercial experience, the role will primarily be to develop VR environments and further develop our cloud based Software as a Service model (SaaS) multi-user product. Working within a team of six developers, you are expected to help drive exact and timely development along with our lead Unity developer with regular reporting to our Chief Technology Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Contribution to the design and specification of solutions for virtual scene production by the development team.
• Solid development documentation, demonstration to internal team and clients.
• Communication and collaboration within XRT and to its clients and partners.
• Remote and on-site technical support provided as required.

Key Skills/Qualifications

Essential:

• 10+ years experience and a deep knowledge of Unity 3D
• Object oriented programming C++/C#
• 3D graphics programming experience
• Experience with cloud based SaaS technology ecosystem including solid AWS and network optimisation.
• Excellent JIRA software product development skills
• Experienced in software for ideating and production of specifications such as Miro, Balsamiq and Lucid Chart
• Scrum based agile mind-set.
• Proven team building and mentoring skills.
• Excellent understanding of 3D modelling optimisation requirements for “in-game”
• Excellent understanding of UX/UI design in 3D environments
• Ability to build rapid prototypes for VR/AR/MR.
• Excellent spoken and written communication and presentation skills

Desirable:

• Previous - demonstrable - VR/AR/MR project experience
• Experience in developing for Meta standalone HMDs
• Knowledge of cyber security B2B and B2C standards
